2007 international two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) pressing of this compilation from New Wave band Talk Talk. Initially a Synth-Pop quartet led by vocalist Mark Hollis, Talk Talk released the Party's Over their keyboard-heavy debut album in 1982. Unlike their contemporaries, everything changed after that debut. Slimmed down to a trio, 1984's stunning It's My Life sounded like the work of a different, more talented band. Two years later, the Colour of Spring was another groundbreaking album and world's away from the debut just four years earlier. Spirit of Eden was relapsed in '88 and, once again, the band had significantly altered their sound. One more album followed on a different label and then it was the end of the band, but, as this compilation proves, it was an incredible ride! The CD features 12 of their biggest hits and radio favorites including 'Talk Talk', 'It's My Life' (later covered by No Doubt), 'Such a Shame', 'Today' and 'Life's What You Make It'. The DVD features videos to most of the tracks including extra alternate vids for 'Talk Talk' and 'Dum Dum Girl'. The perfect introduction to the band and a fantastic collector's item! EMI.
